Where does Platinum Constructions build?
We build within the Inner West suburbs of Melbourne (Seddon, Yarraville, Footscray, Newport, Spotswood, Altona and Williamstown).
Do you get involved in the Design Stage?
We don't have an in-house Architect/Draftsman therefore we do not engage in the design stage however can happily refer you to our preferred Architects/Draftsman who will be able to assist in your plans.
What documents do you need to provide a Fee Proposal and how long will this take?
At a starting point, we would require fully dimension floor plans, your site plan and as much detail you can provide regarding your preferred inclusions, fixtures and fittings. You can typically expect a 2 week turn around for a Fee Proposal.
Ideally a tendered project should be issued with full documentation (Working Drawings, Engineering, Town Planning Permit, Soil Report, House Energy Rating, Electrical Plan, Inclusions)
Why don't you provide a square meterage or per square rate?
We are a Custom Builder. Unlike volume builders we do not provide a starting price per square meter because no two homes, sites or clients are ever the same. All fee proposals are tailored to each project.
How long will it take to build my home?
There are a number of factors that can determine the length of a project, including size of your home, complexity of the build and any outside factors out of our control (e.g. delay in material / lockdowns etc). On average a project can take anywhere 12 months.
What type of contract do you offer?
Platinum Constructions Corp is a member of the Housing and Industry Association (HIA). We predominately use a cost plus plus contract as this works well for all parties involved however are also able to used a fixed price contract. These contracts complete with laws governing residential construction in Victoria.
